Customer Support is Awesome!

CSA is a unique way to support your local farmers and ensure that you have a supply of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the summer. Rather than relying on the traditional method of taking vegetables to market and hoping that they sell, a CSA share works as your reservation for a weekly basket of produce for an entire growing season. That way, you are sure that you will get quality vegetables, and we (the farmers) know that we have sold our vegetables.

As a CSA customer, you become part of both the risk and the rewards of being a small farmer. If our carrots fail (sorry again 2020 CSA members), you might not get any carrots. By that same token, if there is an abundance of produce, you benefit from that as well. Customers last year regularly got extra produce on weeks when the fields were producing more than we knew what to do with.

One Standard CSA = 1/2 bushel of seasonal fruits and vegetables each week.
One Mini CSA = A CSA of seasonal fruits and vegetables that is approximately one half the size of our standard CSA.

In practice, the standard CSA amounts to a milk crate of produce. Some weeks it will be brimming over the top with lettuce, kale, radishes, and other lightweight veggies. Other weeks it will look fairly empty but be weighed down with squashes, potatoes, beets, and onions. The selection varies from week to week based on growing times, weather, and of course, the season. We endeavor to include at least one fruit or berry in every week’s CSA.

Our CSAs can be paid for in halves, or as a full payment. We ask for the first payment by April 1st. This literally acts as our seed money to help us buy the supplies and pay for the employees necessary to grow our vegetables. The second half is due by August 1st. However, if you pay in full by April 1st, you get a free jar of jam to show our thanks.

Standard CSAs are a good fit for a typical family of four.

Minis cost less and are better for individuals, or people who just don’t need quite as much food.

We offer two locations for CSA pickups: Blackberry Bog Farm and the Seaside Farmer’s Market. Information for both is below.

We realize that some people may have allergies to certain foods. If this is the case, please drop us a line and we will do our best to accommodate your basket.
We do not have the ability to personalize all of our baskets, so please limit requests to allergies only so that we may continue to offer this service that keeps our customers safe.

Cut Flower CSA

Our cut flower CSA provides you with one bouquet of cut flowers every week. Pickup locations and times are the same as food CSAs and offer many of the same benefits. Due to the unpredictability of flower availability, the flower CSA will be eight weeks long. Hopefully, it will start around the 1st of July, but regardless of start date, it will go for eight weeks.
